From Castles to Sandy Beaches

From a far away land where you are sure to find interesting places from charming villages with living traditions to enticing wine cellars, exciting festivals and hundreds of castles, fortresses and mansions I was contacted by a Hungarian couple who wanted only to wed on the sands of Miami Beach.
Árpád and Abigél are as unique as their names. They share a passionate love for one another and I can say it was a HOT event all over; even the color chosen was Hot Pink. Abigél's makeup was done by who other than Rosycheeks.
They chose to write their own vows which they did on their own language making this part of the ceremony very private since none of us knew what they were saying to each other.

Abigél decided to throw the bouquet to the women who were at the beach; causing total euphoria in all of those people who were excited observing the whole event with Such joy that got contagious to all of us, including the two crazy photographers from Marcelin Photography who accompanied Abigél and Árpád Into the water of Miami Beach to take more pictures.

This day was also the groom's 30th b-day and he got surprised by his now wife with a cake.  I am sure they had the time of their life's like they said and they will always treasure this moment.

Alabama vs Royal wedding?!

As a wedding planner that I am, I wanted to do my post yesterday of what more than the Royal wedding but it seems outrageous to me that after so many disasters and deaths in Alabama, the news of the royal wedding witch cost around 50 million was all I heard about in the media while desperate people in Alabama were worried about finding shelter.

On Wednesday, a massive thunderstorm front spawned 137 tornadoes, killed at least 249 people, at least since all the searches have not been completed. The Same day our President Obama declared Alabama a federal disaster area and his statement said:

"Our hearts go out to all Those Who Have Been Affected by this devastation, and we commend the Heroic Efforts of Those Who Have Been working tirelessly to respond to this disaster."

It is sad to see the world's response to the royal wedding, people camping and buying souvenirs. In the case of the USA, I’d love to know how many of these people who traveled to witness firsthand the royal wedding (I'm sure very few) make donations to St. Jude to save children with cancer or American Heart Association or Salvation Army. How many volunteer at church and how many go out to our streets to feed the poor.
In the case of the media they

I hope and I am sure that there is a big group that has other agendas and believes that will volunteer and quickly will be on the move, just as they were after hurricane Katrina and also for Louisiana. Churches and other groups will offer refuge and resources and neighbors will reach out to one another.

Disasters leave heartache, but they also bring people together. That's the way of love.
